ive got a little problem ive recently built a system from scratch (3 weeks ago) and only dloaded two programs onto it mmoviper for FFXIV and FFXIV client which is from disc had no problems havent had much time to do anything on the game or my PC so let it do its thing and for some reason ive had an email saying a login attempt was made on my account i was just curious to the reasons why its needed to be run in administrator ive use similar programs and they don't need to be run in this way im just a little concerned by whats happened i know that ive not been anywhere to leave my self exposed to a keylogger or my information being given out.

If you are worried, contact them, and get more information. I'm guessing they detected that your computer setup changed since you said you build a new system.

i only started playing this game on this system not on any before so that rules that one out and why does it need to be run in administrator is my only other question? thank you

and a friend who uses this also has had the same thing happen to him but others who i know dont use mmoviper havent had this happen to them im just passing this information on.

I'm at a loss as to why it would be specific to viper.

It doesnt inject, it doesnt change memory, and it loads after the game.

I would contact them anyway and request more information on the matter. See if they will give you the IP address of the person that tried to login to the account, or if it was something else that triggered it.
