Is it possible to gift a subscription for a friend?

I have a friend who is having difficulty getting PayPal payments to go through to you.

I know you have been very attentive to him and trying to help him get set up.

I was merely wondering about an alternative method.

Sure, just create a username/password pay and give his the info.
